Habitation relay

I suspect I may have a problem with the habitation relay not dropping out when the car ignition is switched off. Fridge and charging appear normal whe engine running. But when engine ignition is turned off the van electrics stay inhibited - ie can't select or get any 12v supply whether van or car battery is selected. I am fairly certain the car supply is ok. (99%) (But am going to check again when I get home) So I suspect the habitation relay is not dropping off.
Van supply normal once 13 pin plug disconnected, but bit of a nuisance when en route having to diisconnect car to run pump or loo etc..
Just a simple question really - where is the habitation relay physically placed on the van, so I can have a look to see what happens - ( the van is 2009 Sterling Europa 520.)

My understanding is that the 13 pin plug should be disconnected for the caravan lights to operate.
On Bailey the relays are all together on a pcb, usually on the rear of the bank of 12v fuses, located on the PDU, sorry not had a swift since 1996 so cant remember.

Used to be able to use cars battery, that's the point of the selection switch in the van, only something has changed as I say - suspect that relay.

it is your smart relay in your car that needs adjusting.it senses the car running and supplies power to the caravan.when the engine is switched off the relay will disconnect when the cars battery voltage drops a little.i have had to fine tune the relays a few times in my cars.when the car is running the caravans habitation relay will be cutting power to the caravans 12volt system except the fridge and battery charge.if after turning the car off for 30 mins and you have no power in the caravan the smart relay in the car needs adjusting.there is a little trimming screw on the relay.sometimes its the other way round and the relay wont connect properly with the car running.same cure by adjusting.i much prefer the old split charge relays in the car..when car was running altrnator powered the relay.when the engine was off.relay off.simples
