Had another blood clot in my leg ...

Just say had another stay in hospital been ill for some weeks but i am hoping i am on the mend now
Looking forward to a break at the seasonal caravan
I have been told to rest & relax

Regards to you all ...

I'm very sorry to hear that. Hopefully with the blood thinning drugs, stocking and rest with exercise interspersed you will make a swift recovery.
enjoy your seasonal.
Best wishes DD

Hope you are feeling better soon and a stay in the van works some recuperative magic

Oh Beachball what you up to now, sorry to hear of your wows, and hope you recover soon,
Have wondered where you went to now we know.
Hope you get off to the van soon.
Good Luck.

Sorry to hear your news but hope you are recovering well. If you are on warferin (which needs monitoring) talk to GP about Apixaban or one of the others which does not. They are more expensive to NHS but don't need the monitoring, so long term can be much better value for money and are far less fussy to live with.

You can even have a certain amount of wine daily, but it should be roughly the same amount each day, so specify a reasonable quantity when asked !

Have you tried one of these machines you put your feet onto and which then gives you mild electric shocks up into the leg muscles for half and hour or so ? I've had some circulation problems and have been highly suspicious of such devices but gave in to domestic pressure and have to say I can notice a considerable improvement. Some claim to be NHS approved and thus available on 'prescription'. If only it worked on other parts too.............

Best wishes

Beachball - I hope things are starting to sort themselves out for you.

I echo Ray's comments on alternatives to Warfarin, I'm on Pradaxa, but there are some downsides like having to delay minor surgery while they clear your system and the resulting side effects when you start them up again - but each of the anti-coagulants are better in different situations. As a retired caravanner, I'll rephrase that - as a retired worker now caravanning extensively, my itinerant lifestyle was part of their decision not to use Warfarin for me.
