Hartal door flyscreen

I've pretty much finished the tricky repair of broken cords on the door flyscreen on a Bailey Unicorn. On my first effort, I used nylon cord I already had. It wasn't strong enough and broke quickly. I've now used Kevlar cord found on Amazon which should do the trick. The remaining problem is how to connect the cord to the door frame at the bottom. There isn't anything in the corner of bottom extrusion to do this. In the top, there's a rivet-like thing (see photos) - although it isn't a rivet as it doesn't go through to the opposite side of the extrusion. Does anyone know what this is and where I might get one? The whole frame was riveted together and I had to drill a couple of these out to do the repair. But I don't think those rivets acted as the fix points (given there's something separate in the top as shown. I’m a bit stuck!
