Harwich

Hi - My husband and I will be travelling Harwich - Hook of Holland in May. Can anyone recommend a site that is near Harwich, don't mind if it is a CL, CS, or large commercial site, it's just somewhere to spend the night before leaving to catch the ferry early in the morning.

You could try The Grange at East Bergholt (used to be part of the BoB group years ago). You can find it on google earth as it is on the west of a long straight lane. It has a small clubhouse serving meals, an oudoor pool, and is about 16 miles from the ferry. In years past we have used both this and the Colchester Camping site for the same purpose. The latter you can find on 'earth' too as it lies adjacent the A12 - with some inherant traffic noise - at least you won't oversleep if you have an early crossing!
