Hi,all Has anyone experienced travvelers on site? they were no trouble but the only thing that bugged me was they had parked their van over two pitches and that their dog had peed up against our awning. i was constantly checking that nothing had been stolen.

Travellers normally use sites reserved exclusively for themselves so it's doubtful if a large number regularly use leisure oriented caravan sites.
If they caused you no major problems and didn't steal from you I can't really see why you would ask about them.
I've seen ordinary leisure tourer owners who have done much worse than allowing their dog to piddle up an awning and use extra parking space.

We had the dubious pleasure of encoutering some at Moreton in Marsh CC site a few years ago. Only issue was their children that ran riot!

We were forced to leave a lovely site in Sedan in France due to an infestation of these dirty b*******ds! We had been there two days,of the four we'd booked when they invaded, and they had only been on site about four hours when the noise and the smell got too much and we left. The young girl on reception said she had phoned her boss ( it was a municipal site), but no-one appeared to do anything. We did get the two nights refunded.
We went back to the site this year as we felt it deserved a second chance, but it was flooded! Bit of a fierce way to keep the gippos out, I thought!

Just a few weeks ago we stayed on a C&CC CS and on the Tuesday the owner told us he had two large outfits booked to come on site later that day. He explained they were travellers and they had been the week before. He also said they were no trouble but if we did get any to let him know. Thankfully they never turned up. At one time there were eight outfits of tents, caravans and motorhomes. One motorhome had to share his hardstanding with the car of a tenter and a Slovakian motorhome pitched within feet of a caravan where the people had gone back to the northeast. We were leaving early on the Sunday morning but on arrival at the caravan after visiting my mother on the Saturday afternoon we had a teardrop caravan opposite and next to them was a transit van with a gazebo outside. They were all together and drinking where they stayed until 1.15am and the later the evening went the noisier they got. Deciding being sensible was better than valour considering there were now three males among the group I didn't confront them. We were used to being woke up by now because there were two dogs at the end of the site who were in a pen and the slightest noise seemed to spook them and start them howling at any time of the night. As an adult site there were two lots with kids and no doubt if the tinkers had arrived they would have brought a load more. I doubt they would have been members of the C&CC and infact we aren't either so how many rules are they breaking?
Regarding the noisy drunken bu99ers I had the last laugh because as I mentioned earlier we were off on the Sunday so got up about 6.30ish. It was then that I hit the alarm button on my key fob and for anyone who doesn't know the noise a Sorento makes when that goes off it's loud. I kid you not it only took two minutes for those in the Transit van to emerge and stumble up to the toilets. Sweet revenge because if I couldn't sleep I don't see why those unsociable p!$$heads should.

whilst their children may have been lively its not a phenomenon unique to Travellers. Last year at CC Crossways a family group in two vans set up their football pitch amongst others vans and after three near misses on the van followed by a hit to the car I asked them to move their football pitch down to their own area. They muttered a bit but moved the game away. Just lack of consideration for others.
