Has anyone used an Easi-porch Awning

Hi, We are thinking about changing our awning to one of these Easi-porch awnings which look very lighweight and have no poles connected to the caravan which would be an advantage in windy conditions. Has anyone used one of these - any advice would be helpful.

Hi

We've got an Easi-porch awning and we're very pleased with it, it's up in about 5-10 minutes adn is very sturdy once up, only problem that I find with it is that as it's not attached to the van down the sides it can be a bit drafty.

We wouldn't use it for a trip longer than a few days as it's not really big enough, but perfect for weekend trips due the ease of putting it up

we got one of the sunn camp ones and its so quick and easy to put up though im not sure i trust it as its only held on at the top not the sides so the wind fair gets it flapping

i see it flying away someday

Have you found any fairly easy ways to get the poles out when dismantling the Sunncamp porch? Some form of locking mechanism would be good to stop the poles separating as you pull them out of their sleeves.

I HAVE A SUNNCAMP SCENIC PLUS I USE FOR LONG OR SHORT WEEKENDS AND FIND IT BRILLIANT, BUT MY BEEF IS WHY WE HAVE TO PAY THE FULL AWNING CHARGE WHEN IT IS USED SURELY THERE SHOULD BE A SMALLER CARGE AS YOURE NOT COVERING THE WHOLE PITCH ??

hi keith

i agree with you ,we have a suncamp 260 and the first time we used it i said it should have a twist lock on the ferral, this would make it so easy to take down ,you always feel as if your gonna tear the channel it slips into.As for stephens adivce to push the rod i have never found this to be easy and have used it every weekend since its purchase in february 11 times in total.

Hello

We have the suncamp 260 dont worry about using it in windy conditions.

The first time we used ours the winds reached gale force the awning sides did flap but as a whole stayed firm with no probs.
