They don't have a good reliability record so maybe the caravan makers got fed up with warranty claims - we're on our 3rd and that fails intermittently.Looking at the new issues not many, hardly any come with the Omnivent. Are we going backwards?
Yoy were lucky. On our 2011 Lunar Delta it was replaced 5 times in a period of about 2 years. Eventually got an air con. They don't have a good reliability record so maybe the caravan makers got fed up with warranty claims - we're on our 3rd and that fails intermittently.

Funny you should say that as in 2015 we were looking at trading in for the newer Delta only to be told that the roof could not support an air con due to the long skylight. We later traded in for a Buccaneer. Not sure what Lunar where thinking of when they designed the newer Deltas etc that could not have a roof mounted air con. Also told that we could not have a Sat dish mounter either. No, you're lucky - I can't fit aircon on my Lunar Clubman as the roof isn't bonded sandwich !
The older ones with the manual switch were okay, but the newer ones with the electronic switch were terrible. At one point we were so fed up with it doing all sorts of weird things we asked the dealer if they would swap it for the older one even if it was second hand. The dealer's answer was that they would just be moving the problem. My Omnivent is 12 years old, used a lot. I strip and clean the mesh and fan blade annually. Still going strong! Can’t imagine not having it.
That’s probably why ours on a 2005 Bailey gave no trouble. Such is progress. The older ones with the manual switch were okay, but the newer ones with the electronic switch were terrible. I am in agreement l think you were lucky to have air con i don"t think our caravan would have support it .to each its ownYoy were lucky. On our 2011 Lunar Delta it was replaced 5 times in a period of about 2 years. Eventually got an air con.
Hi DD would have to agree our Omnivent is just over 12 years and in good working conditionMy Omnivent is 12 years old, used a lot. I strip and clean the mesh and fan blade annually. Still going strong! Can’t imagine not having it.
Hi JezzerB l don"t think we should have any trouble our Bailey some years ago gave us great service & present caravan so far great ..Oh dear-should we expect trouble then; our new Buc has one , our good old reliable Avondale ARgente had one and it gave brilliant service. mmmmm progress eh!
I think we are going forward,we had one in one of our vans and never used it - it was too noisy and we found it of limited practical use, unless you cook smelly grub !Looking at the new issues not many, hardly any come with the Omnivent. Are we going backwards?
We’ll be worth talking to them in more depth to see what the design would be. But keep an eye on weight. As far as I know you can choose the material you want your kitchen to be made of, at least this is what I was told by a local kitchen contractor, you choose the material and the design
