Heater Light Stuck on

Hello, I am brand new to the caravan scene and have just bought my first recently, I have noticed in the fuse cupboard that the heater light is stuck on, the van has no heater just a gas fire, so I can only presume this is the water heater, however the caravan is not hooked up to electric and the battery has gone flat really quick, there is no water in the heater and the gas isn't connected so I am stumped to why this light is on, can anyone help please

.......if there is any charge at all left in the battery and the water heater is turned on for gas operation then a 12 volt warning light may show.
You could try turning the gas water heater control switch off .......it is usually next to the light.
 
If you have just bought the van from a private seller, and have no idea when it was serviced last, get it serviced by a qualified engineer before using it to ensure all the systems are safe to use.
