We got the Jeep back from dealer on Thursday and today decided to repack it with our gear. A long and arduous task. LOL! I never realised how much gear we carry in the Jeep for long trips and when towing the caravan. Also some unnecessary "just in case" stuff which we have never used. 🤣 🤣

Anyone else carrying "too much" stuff unrelated to the car i.e. toolbox, etc

Same here, mud slip mats, shovel, tow rope hammer, crowbar, shinny survival blankets, a week's dog food (Chicken and rice flavour) I think I would prefer that if stuck in the Welsh mountains, waiting for Buckmans breakdown truck. Way too much kit really.

We needed a heavy duty low loader for the Jeep! LOL! 🤣 🤣 🤣

I can understand that, a lot of recovery trucks are rated at about 4.5 tonne, MTPLM. So with our tugs at maybe 3 tonne not much spare weight on a recovery vehicle.

Jeep gross weight is about 2800kg and the caravan 2000kg. The Jeep had a lot of our camping gear in it. i.e. awnings, windbreaks etc,
