Heki - 2 Roof light - Fly Screen

Ive been out to our van today to find that the fly screen on our Heki 2 roof light has lost all its tension and spring. the only way it can be retracted is by rolling the roller with your fingers. - Now is this something that can be fixed easily by somebody who is handy -ish(!) or it is definatley a warranty job? Trouble is my nearest Abbey dealer is 100 miles away!

Help and advise needed.

Thanks

Firstly. don't think of a distant dealer, look on the www.jones-vening,co.uk website for an 'Approved Workshop' near you. They do all work, often warranty repairs.

Secondly, on the other rooflight, the Remis, I have taken it down by prising off the downward-facing covers and then undone all the screws and dropped the mechanism down into the 'van (prepare for some weight). It is then quite simple to re-tension the rollers. On my previous 'van sometimes I let the sprung net fly back by itself, which often resulted in the symptoms you have.
