Hello all.

I am 36 and from Livingston in West Lothian.

I have caravanned all my life - first with the oldies and then with the Mrs. She began vannin' when we married and has taken to it like a duck to water - even agreeing to a caravanning honeymoon. That was back in 1994.

We are on our 3rd Bailey - a 2005 Ranger 460/2 but have ordered a fixed bed 2007 Ranger 460/4 from Duncan's at Waterloo. This should arrive in the autumn - sooner if you like Mr Bailey!

Just changed cars for a Vauxhall Astra 1.9 CDTi (150 bhp) Sri Estate. A flying machine - hope it tows well.

We prefer CC and C&CC sites and go all over the UK.

Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you'll have a laugh at the antics.

Your knowledge and experiences will no doubt be an asset.

What did you tow with before the astra? Maybe a few words of wisdom on towing with cars would help some others.

Hope the new van arrives in time for a few trips before "santa's dandruff" starts dropping north of the border.

Was towing with a Picasso HDi which was a nice if rather dull car! Towed well and gave a reasonable view through the 'van.

Have towed with a whole range of diesels over the years so if anyone wants to know more about Pug 405's, Xantias etc I am your man!
