would anyone know where I could hire a caravan next year for about two weeks, as I would like to get the feel for caravanning prior to purchasing?

If you live in the West Mids. you can hire one from Lye Hire, near Stourbridge. They advertise in most of the caravan mags.

Where are you hoping to hire a caravan?

The biggest problem might be getting a hire car with tow-bar fitted if you are not in your own country.

I keep a car in the UK, and will have a tow bar fitted prior to my return next year.

I hope to return to the UK someday soon, it is just those UK winters that I dont like, hence my reason to invest in a van to travel to warmer climes in Europe for a month or two. I like some of the new models with all the mod cons of home.
