We are Alan & Mags ( Im the Mags part) and we are, like so many more of you, new to caravanning. We have holidayed in statics both in the uk & France for a number of years and often wished we had our own tourer to go where we pleased, when we pleased. So now the children are old enough to be left a few days ( they're almost 18 year old twins & wouldn't be seen dead in a caravan)we took the plunge and collected our 7 year old, 2 berth Elddis Hurricane 2 weeks ago.
We went on our first trip away this weekend - not very far, just a 'how to put up the awning' excercise really. We had a lovely time at a Camping & Caravan Club site in North Yorkshire and are looking forward to our next jaunt to the Yorkshire coast in June.
If there is one thing we have learned above anything else, it's that when you live on a hill and there are only 2 of you, a motor mover comes pretty high on the list of essential equipment as my sore arms will testify!!
Love this forum, lost quite a few hours reading it in the days before our trip and hope to be able to contribute on a fairly regular basis.
