Hello Everyone

We are Alan & Mags ( Im the Mags part) and we are, like so many more of you, new to caravanning. We have holidayed in statics both in the uk & France for a number of years and often wished we had our own tourer to go where we pleased, when we pleased. So now the children are old enough to be left a few days ( they're almost 18 year old twins & wouldn't be seen dead in a caravan)we took the plunge and collected our 7 year old, 2 berth Elddis Hurricane 2 weeks ago.

We went on our first trip away this weekend - not very far, just a 'how to put up the awning' excercise really. We had a lovely time at a Camping & Caravan Club site in North Yorkshire and are looking forward to our next jaunt to the Yorkshire coast in June.

If there is one thing we have learned above anything else, it's that when you live on a hill and there are only 2 of you, a motor mover comes pretty high on the list of essential equipment as my sore arms will testify!!

Love this forum, lost quite a few hours reading it in the days before our trip and hope to be able to contribute on a fairly regular basis.

Hi Mags & Alan, welcome to the forum. It's a bit old fashioned and slow because it was designed for Windows 3.1 but until my friend Lord Heseltine, who owns Haymarket Towers, decides to put his hand in his pocket and upgrade the forum we'll have to make do. Pssssttttt, don't hold your breath, he's a tight old git :O)

"Lord B quite often repeats himself"....

where do you think I get the wynde in my name from Kev. :O)

Besides, you've been quiet lately, you must have been gallavanting off again in that van.

thanks for the welcome Lord B. and Trucker

You must be careful what you wish for. I used to contribute to a perfectly good forum that was 'updated' and was never the same again. LOL (I would say which one but don't know if i'm allowed to and dont want to get banned on my first day. )

No it's ok, His Moddyship wont ban you because he knows I'll have a word with my friend, his boss if he does.

So who/where was it. Just whisper it, your secret will be safe within these four walls :O)
