Well after years and I mean YEARS of talking about it my wife and I have finally gone and bought our very first caravan. It's a Sprite Major 5 2008 model bought from new. Very excited if not a little anxious about the towing etc. I bought the ALKO 3004 hitch as an extra and towed it home relatively easily. I'm now having fun buying lots of gear, kitting it out and playing with our new toy. Can't wait to get away and try it out for the very first time. Having a slight issue installing a radio/cd player, but have posted seperate message about that. Anyway, I'm called Mark and I'm pleased to meet you all. No doubt I will be calling on your advice and experience over the coming months.

Hi Mark

I am Sam and we have also just bought our first caravan a 2009 Sprite Major 6. We do not collect it until the middle of March and am soooooo excited. We bought it back in October at the NEC show, and it seems such a long time ago, I am now getting impatient.

We have been out buying loads of bits and pieces and I am afraid to admit that I am turning into a caravan nerd ;-) I love it though, it is the best thing we have ever done. I have 3 children aged from 5 up to 11 and it has given us all a hobby to look forward to together as a family. We have got lots of sites booked for this year and cannot wait to just get out there.

Another caravan nerd here! We did the same as you Mark and bought a 'last year's model but brand new' in October 2007 and saved nearly
