Hello everyone
, I recently found your forums - and they have proved very interesting reading so far ....
The wife and I bought a 1993 Swift Corvette Diamond at the end of the summer last year from a small dealer in Stirlingshire. 2 kids and a dog fit very nicely in it.
(I will upload a few pics when I figure out how)
After a few minor issues we think its quite a tidy van for its age.
I am towing it with a 2.2 TDCI Mondeo - it actually copes quite well, but the mpg is a shocker
We have only had a few trips so far, and very firmly classify ourselves as newbies, the first was a 2 nighter in Witches Craig in Stirling - the 12v system broke and we ran on batteries without even knowing it. The site was fantastic though - I would recommend it to those of you who have a larger wallet than I do
We had a new charging system fitted, and a Reich mover, and that was without doubt the best investment I have made so far - makes everything so much easier !
Our last trip was in October, to the lakes, when the wind almost took the awning, bending a few poles in the process, and since then it has been a long winter, waiting for the weather to come good.
We have just booked to go away in April to Fort William - I cannot wait !
I have loads of questions in my head, about a million different things, so thought I better make a good introduction :woohoo:
