Hello everyone!!

Hi from Stockton on Tees (it's not all "benefits St" some of it is quite nice). We're returning to caravanning after an 7 year break (had to sell the last one as car was struggling to tow it & couldn't afford to change it). We've got an ABI Award Globestar (1991 according to the owners) which appears to be in really good nick - no damp smell, no spongy floor, just some cosmetic damage around the wheel arch. Does anyone have a manual for this van, or know where I can get one. I think we've got most stuff figured out but it'd just be nice to know for sure. Also does anyone know how much water and cleaning fluid I need to put in the various tanks?
Thanks in advance for any help, it's just in having a safety check and odd bits and bobs sorted out and then we're ready for the off!

Hi and a warm welcome to the forum.
You'll probably get a better response to your questions if you post under the relevant sections rather than in the new members section.
Once a caravanner, always a caravanner 🙂

Hi Mike, welcome to the forum.
I moved your query to the technical message board so that your questions may be seen by more forum members.
I'm sorry that I can't help with the manual but Click Here to see a previous topic complete with pictures which may answer some of the basics for you.
As for the fluids, the toilet cassette normally has a capful of fluid mixed with a pint or so of water to dissolve any material and eradicate odours.
If you use the pink fluid for the header tank, again, a capful should do the trick although many caravanners don't use the top tank fluid because it can cause black bits to appear.
