we are new to caravaning after years of camping. Thought we'd upgrade for a bit of comfort! We've got an older van - Abi Marauder 400D and after weeks of getting everything ready, we have just had our first time away.

Van was perfect- but have a minor problem with the awning. It is a Bradcot. Because the front of our van slopes, the side of the awning seemed to sag. As this is where the door is on the awning, it is a bit of a pain. The awning was up correctly and tensioned properly, and connected to the van properly.

Does anybody know of a solution to this problem or know what we could do to improve or prevent the sagging??!!

Is the awning the correct size for your caravan?
yes - the awning is the correct size - it came with the van when we bought it. The previous owners bought the awning about 18 months ago as new. It fits the rail lovely - except for the sagging once the frame is up and tensioned. The other side is perfect - its just the front - where the van slopes, so does the awning.

Sorry I will have to pass on this one. Except that it might just be the lie of the land you are pitching on.

You may, however, receive more information if you transferred your thread to the 'Equipment & Accessories' area. There are many seasoned 'vanners out there who may just be able to point you in the right direction.

Regards

Ann
