help how to wire up a new tap

Hi,

Just bought a abi 1995 caravan were very new to caravaning and not to good at diy we need to replace the taps in showe/sink, after pulling out all the vanity unit we found the wires on the old taps are twice as long as the ones on the new taps is it ok just to split the wires and make a waterproof join by using electrcal block and electric tape?

yes just make sure you use the same size wire/cable
