I am not suggesting 'Chris' broke the rules, but he did push against them a bit. Parksy was trying to be helpful but as seen, the trickle became a flood. I was merely stating that I could see Trevor's point of view.

There has been a lot of discussion about advertising, pro's and cons, and until a hard and fast rule is decided it is maybe better to err on the safe side or any promoter of a product may ask for similar license. Of course Chris, or any other promoter could always take out an advertisement in the PC Magazine with his offer. That would reach an even larger market.

Good luck in the pub. It is raining here after snow for most of the day so I ain't going anywhere tonight.

Well, my sample arrived today.

Initial thoughts?

1 - It's not as strong as the super strength Velcro I bought from Focus DIY last year.

2 - The adhesive doesn't seem as sticky either.

3 - It's damned hard to press together! Yet easy to peel apart.

4 - It's thick and stiff! Less flexible than Velcro.

On the plus side, it's probably more weatherproof than Velcro.

Probably not what you were hoping to hear, Chris but I'm being honest here.

Thanks for the reply!

Lets start with the adhesive, this is an acrylic acked adhesive that improves with time. The surace area needs to be very clean and time allowed before adding pressure to the glue, I have a customer that uses this on the outside of a sea going boat and with the wet weather and salt spray the glue has not come off. I think that you have ot tested the product properly.

I can also show you how this product will hold better than Velcro!

Your right it is hard to press together, but you have to remember when something is secured to it the load is puling down not appart, its easy to pull someting apart with your fingers from end to end boat the load works the other way.

Yes it is thick and stiff which helps its strength and durabilty.

I did want all feedback so thanks for that, I do however think that you have not tested it correctly and that's propbably my fault for not giving you examples or instructions for use.

My best advice would be to stick a sample on the outside of a van when clean and dry and leave to dry and then test it.

Hi All

Just wanted to check that you all got your sample?

And also I would welcome as much feedback on the site as possible, I have already had some feedback to say that the product is perfect for securing the wheel skirt of the awning to the caravan.
