Help

I had some dodgy looking areas on a seam on my van and in my infinate wisdom I thought I would go over the seam with some caraseal mastic (done on Sunday) However it still hasnt dried on the outside, (I know it said non drying on the tube! But I thought that would be the non exposed bits of the sealent and that would remain flexible. Doh)

So have a made a complete mess of it? and will it harden at all? and should I dig it out and use something else? :(

I would of been better removing the whole rail and doing it properly, but I thought applying it over the dodgy bits would be a short term solution until I had more time to remove the rail.

Cheers

hi,

the proper way to reseal using caraflex/caraseal is to get rid of the old mastic first, then re-seal.it can be a messy job,and NO it wont harden, thats why its like that for complete waterproof and flexibility.as the van flexex in transit so does the sealant.
