My sister and I have just returned from our first trip, in our new to us, 2001 coachman pastiche 5005/5. For some reason the fridge would not run off the gas. It has an automatic ignition system which just kept on ticking and flashing. We checked the safety valve, but still had no joy. Given that we are two women, please keep the answers simple but any thoughts before we call someone out to take a look would be appreciated.

Help please with automatic fridge ignition

Hi Carol,
You will probably get lots of technical advice here from more experienced than me however, I struggle to light the fridge everytime. I have been told that to ignite you turn and hold in the button that gives you the gas fridge temp for some considerable time and maybe keep 'pumping' (pushing it) on and off to 'prime it'. I do this and still struggle and then just as I am about to give up it lights!!
