Any suggestions for suitable towcar for Bailey 500/5 - either petrol or diesel, manual or automatic. Daihatsu Fourtrack is for sale so looking for something up to £10000. With suggestion it would be appreciated if any information on proposed tax band could be given so that I can budget as well as the likely performance/fuel consumption whilst solo/towing. Prefer minimum 4 doors and a five seater. Not now into sporty models as those days are now behind me LOL.

Hi Colin

We are new to all this but we have a 1600kg swift and use a Merc ML270 Auto which on a recent trip to Hawes returned 27.5mpg which in my books is pretty good. If you get the manual version you should get more mpg but they are biggish to drive and very comfortable and in my opinion much more of a car than the Kia's. You don't say what your all up weight is but the ML tows the Swift like a dream and at 65 on the motorway with cruise control on it is perfect.
