I’ve purchased a 1993 Compass Rallye GTE 400/2 in great condition just a few bits I require, tried sourcing them but with no success. I need a water inlet cover and a 3 pin inlet cover, can anyone help where I could purchase these. Any help gratefully received. Thanks.

The electrical one is easy, just google caravan electrical outlet flap and loads will come up. Yours is MPK brand but they're generally generic. TBH though I would be adding a waterproof socket to that too (and probably do the whole box at the same time - Its not hard).

Not sure on the water, but again google water inlet flap and you'll get a bunch.

While you're sourcing the covers also buy a couple of water filters. They aren't used on newer caravans as they can end up holding bacteria, when you screw the new one in, don't over-tighten it as it's easy to split the plastic housing (been there, done that......).

I disagree. I would just empty the filter and screw it back in to cause a seal. A filter is more bother than they are worth.

Agreed, that's even better. When we had a caravan with filters I used to change it four times a year and it never looked particularly appealing when removed.

Always took the OEM in line filter out. Never certain of its effectiveness. Tended to rely on sterilisation twice a year and before any prolonged lay up. Can’t recall any of us ever having gippy tummy.

Unfortunately the OP has a Mk1 Carver Crystal water inlet and filter system, The TrumaCrystal Mk2 lid won't fit the Mk1.

I would suggest the OP should carefully unscrew the existing filter, then unclip the filter pack from the clear plastic lid, and just refit the lid (minus the filter) Don't over tighten the lid as you can easily crack the inlet housing.

I sterilised the whole system thoroughly when we bought the van, thought it best as we didn’t know how long it had been lying due to the owner becoming ill and no longer using the van.
