In our case we hit it with a hammer. Not sure that will help here; although could try tapping the key? That’s unfortunate, so I await Mel’s considered advice.
Assume you’ve used penetrating oil, and/or light tapping around the lock area.
If it doesn't open, I will cut it off myself, or find those people who lift anything, the unmentionables, too tight to pay a locksmith, I am a Jock after all.In our case we hit it with a hammer. Not sure that will help here; although could try tapping the key?
Locksmith?
Mel
That's the danger of course!!Well goosed now,key broke in lock.
Dont think any of them will work, going to get a quote from a caravan engineer. not unless you know any of the travelling boys.
At least with a working key , wiggling etc may bring a resolution. Some very clever ideas in that video, certainly a few to tuck away in the "Memory bank of very useful ideas"
Getting the key out still won't get the lock to release though will it? Even if there is a second key to use, the initial problem still exists.
Needs must unfortunately but don’t let Milenco off the hook!Lock 1 year old, have bit the bullet locksmith coming to look at it, if he doesn't succeed, no fee.
Good luck the locksmith should sort you out 🙏Lock 1 year old, have bit the bullet locksmith coming to look at it, if he doesn't succeed, no fee.
Surely they have security protocols they follow so they can help their genuine customers? There is no way on the Planet that Milenco are going to assist you other than perhaps send a technician (at your expense)
The reason being that they have no idea who you are, you could be a dedicated caravan thief so they certainly don't want information on how to (possibly) defeat their security device getting "out there"
I suspect that the only option is total, and very lengthy to achieve, destruction. Whether that can be achieved without damaging the wheel is anyone's guess.
Very much like Alko and their security codes, for the wheel locks.Surely they have security protocols they follow so they can help their genuine customers?
