Hi all, this may seem a daft thing to query, or may not make sense at all - hopefully you can picture what im talking about.
We have just recently purchased a Bailey Unicorn 3 Cartagena 2016.
We took it away for the first time recently and we love it.
The only thing is when we pulled out the fixed island bed and popped the top 'pillow' back it disappeared down the back of the bed. There us a 6"-7" gap for the pillow to sit in but no support so it just drops down the back, no support when we put our own pillows there. Is there something we're doing wrong, is something missing? We're stumped! Would love to hear from some Bailey owners re their fixed bed support.
Thanks in advance

At that age I believe there is a shelf that inserts at the bottom of the bed and the extra bit of mattress sits on that not at the head of the bed.

Thank you for replying. Its when you pull the bed out to full length, the bolster at the top, attached to mattress flips back to fill that gap. The problem is theres a huge space down the back then and the bolster falls into it so we effectively have a good 12-14" wide gap for bolster but no support to keep it up. I hope this makes sense.

I have a later Bailey and the bed frame is in 2 sections, the "top" end is attached and cannot move whilst the bottom section is capable of sliding. I could take a photograph to show you, but the caravan is at home and I am in The Algarve, so thas a bit difficult to do I am afraid!
Have a close look and you will see that the base frame is in 2 sections, you just need to work out how the head end should be secured, it's not something I have ever looked at so cannot advise you as to how it's secured.

We have a 2016 Bailey Unicorn S3 Vigo - the single axle model of your van. We use the two long scatter cushions from the lounge area to shove under the folded bit of mattress to prop it up - it takes a bit of trial and error to get the right level of "squash" but is very effective.
