High GB data SIM card question

Hi. I want and have seen high allowance data SIM cards for sale on Amazon - for example 100+ GB per month, but they stipulate they are for sale for business use only.
As I'm not a business, and don't want to explain at the pearly gates that I blighted my copy book for a tiny SIM card, what do people do?
I've seen 50gb ones for sale, but they won't cover my potential needs.

Not sure what your question is. Google 100gb data sim and they're available for every network, I can't find any that specify business use only. 🤷‍♂️

Just be careful there are no restrictions on the amount used if you plan on using them in Europe as some have a limit.

Voxi (on the VF network) will do you 300GB for 20/m, or unlimited for £35/m. They also don't charge for Social Media, music or video (these include even such as WhatsApp!)

Smarty (on 3) will do you 100GB data for £17 or unlimited for £20 both per month. Note these are data only and they charge differently for speech and texts.

Limit in Europe is 12GB per trip for both SPs and they also both allow unlimited tethering in the UK.

I want to use my fire stick whilst we're away in the van. I've checked the TV has the right connection; I can 'cast' YouTube from my phone to the TV to watch my favourite YouTube videos, but if I'm connected on my phone to the WiFi at the caravan site we're staying at, it doesn't allow it........
So can I use a SIM as a hotspot for the fire stick, or do I need a mifi dongle to connect?

If using the Firestick surely there is no need to cast from the phone to the TV? We connected the Firestick to the phone wifi to watch anything we wanted to watch.

Just update your phone sim to unlimited data, and use the hotspot on the phone. This is EXACTLY (Firestick model) what I do on the van. It's worth putting your phone on charge when you are using the hotspot as the extra functionality as a wifi router pulls the battery down pretty quickly. PS YouTube is available on the Firestick

Although you probably already know, select mobile hotspot on phone to access password for phone wifi. Open settings on the Firestick and enter password for your network. Enjoy streaming.

Streaming video is a relatively high user of bandwidth [GB], so it's a pertinent question asking about the amount of GB you need to have to be using the likes of a Firestick.
Its not something I have done but I am reasonably sure there will be others here who have actually studied the amount of bandwidth doing that consumes.
Anyone know please, using a Firestick and or streaming 1080 HD You tube uses, say as GB/hour?

I've been using the Scancom Sim from Amazon at home and in the caravan for a year or so. Nothing to worry about re business use just tell them if they ask you are self employed 😱
They do not work outside the UK but that's no problem for me I carry a 1p mobile and a Smarty SIM for that, both inactive until required.
Firestick or Roku just connect to them as to any other WiFi network
I use just over 400gb a month streaming at home and will be switching from unlimited to 500gb when I renew in December.

A film in HD uses about 4GB of data. Most films are about 90 minutes long. id you have an unlimited data, then there is no problem. Our rolling contract allows us to drop down data usage to about 8GB in the winter and then back up to Unlimited in the summer.

That's good to hear - I've just bought a Scancom multi-network sim to use in my new TP-Link MIFI for the caravan - we don't need streaming so it's just for internet surfing and wifi calling.

I have a smart TV in the caravan and use my phone as a hotspot if there's no WiFi on site. I have 50 gb data allowance which has been enough apart from one occasion when I almost ran out. On the site we were staying on the mobile signal was very strong which caused Netflix and (I think BBC iplayer) to switch to HD rather than standard. HD uses a lot more data.

As a matter of interest, do you know if dogs are allowed on the beach? That was always our biggest issue when visiting Spain.

Thanks - I've put Scancom into Amazon and it just shows an EE and a '3' SIM. Is this it - or can you link to it...... Also, does anyone have a link to a mifi dongle that works well for you? - they seem to vary in price from £35 to £235, and it seems the reviews for the cheaper ones are the equal of the costly ones.
