Hiya Jayne,

You won't be disappointed, this is one of our favourites. The site is split into various areas, some for children, some for adults, tenters only etc., the top site which is where we generally go is nice and quiet. Everything very clean, we use the local park and ride to go into Cambridge itself (Madingley Park & Ride), its just up the road (turn right out of the site to the end of the road, turn right, past the American Cemetary to the traffic lights and its on the left), doesn't cost much and a very regular service. Turning left out of the site, go down to the T junction, turn left and on the right hand side you'll find a little area with all little outlets. Its like a sort of big gravel courtyard with cottagey/quaint little shops. There's a butchers, a wine place, cafe area, gift shop, toy shop etc., more specialist things rather than run of the mill shops. I don't know quite how to describe it but go and have a look, its nice to meander around. The butchers does kebabs and BBQ stuff but its a good idea to order beforehand as these soon run out. The site is relatively quiet, extremely well run (I believe its a best of British) and has a fish and chip van on a Saturday if I remember rightly, not too bad. There's not much I can say about Cambridge except its fabulous, something for everyone. Every time we visit we get ourselves a couple of drinks and sit on the plaza outside the pub in the sun watching people punting (outside Scudamores) and its just so lovely! You're making me jealous, have fun.

Val
