If we go out for a meal and take the RAV4 I do the driving so will not touch alcohol and have been pleasantly surprised at how nice some of the zero/low alcohol drinks are. Far better than having water, coke or shandy.

I have never been a Guinness fan, but now I enjoy having the 0.0% Guinness. A big plus is that many pubs now stock it with soem even having the proper dispenser for the draught 0.0% Guinness. Oh likes the Thatchers Juicy Apple flavour which is about 4%..I have seen The Light.
That when it comes to the aid of other caravanners helping my wife to put our awning away. last time out .Mor interesting is watching folk get the awning Down, and trying to fit it into the bag.
Try the Thatchers, 0/0 surprisingly nice.I have never been a Guinness fan, but now I enjoy having the 0.0% Guinness. A big plus is that many pubs now stock it with soem even having the proper dispenser for the draught 0.0% Guinness. Oh likes the Thatchers Juicy Apple flavour which is about 4%..
Bought a couple of weeks ago for a BBQ we hosted, still have a few left, our dog likes the Guinness. 🐈⬛“Seen the light”? Looks like the light was turned off when you bought those… 0.0% 😬😂
We tried it when it first came out at Thatchers in Somerset and neither of us enjoyed it. OH drinks the 0.0% Kopparberg pear cider and even I enjoy having a slurp.Try the Thatchers, 0/0 surprisingly nice.
Zero alcohol is totally different from your analogy. It gives you another choice of drink that nowadays tastes quite good, as not everyone likes soft drinks or just water with a meal. Plus it allows the driver to be zero alcohol in their blood. I don’t have a problem with it, and when my wife is chauffeur I can have cask beer and a nice wine with my meal.Personally I'm struggling to see the point in 0% alcohol. It's like vegans who don't eat meat but want there mush to taste of chicken or burgers. Strange auld world we live in.
Nowt wrong with the water up here.^ what they said
I don't like sweet drinks (which still leaves Bovril I suppose). The water in this country is not nice
Struggle with the idea of zero alcohol spirits though, a decent single malt is supposed to warm you up
Ghost ship comes in 500ml bottlesI can still remember the awful alcohol free beers of the late 80's/early 90's (Kaliber was one). Today's offerings are very good, I just wished some were available in bigger bottles than the usual 330ml.
Regarding hobbies in the caravan I tend to find simply sitting around in the evening with a bottle of wine and talking is about as energetic as I get! I do take one of my bikes and cover a fair few miles while my wife gets ready in the morning though.
I drive so at least I can have perhaps a lager before switching to 0.0%. I always thought that alcohol was for relaxing enjoying company and not to get drunk? The 0.0% serves the same purpose for relaxation and enjoying company. 🤔Personally I'm struggling to see the point in 0% alcohol. It’s been well used and its surface is beginning to deteriorate a bit even though I have never used abrasive to clean it. But it still does the business. I think the gas control valve may need replacing as at minimum setting it still creeps up to 200 deg c and normally I cook at 150-160deg C. But will try twiddling it a bit more before shelling out on a new one. That's another different style of griddle for the Cadac, I have a pressed steel one, my friend has a Steel "wire" type.
