hoilday in france

Hi, about to go on hoilday to France with my family and some friends ( 5 tourers in total ) we will be staying at Ste Catherine, De Fierbois which is in the Loire valley near the city of Tours, if anybody has stayed at this site and has any info they could share i would be very grateful, a night stop off point from Caen for five vans would be useful.

many thanks.

spencer,

just got back from this site today, very enjoyable, didn't think much of the lake as it has a blue/green algae on it. Water polo each afternoon is quite entertaining. Some of the pitches down by the lake are well shaded. The main swimming pool is good but you need to reserve a bed early. Tours is about 15 minute drive where you will fine the larger supermarkets. We drove down the A28 which is a brilliant route and will cost 35 euros. If you need any more info please ask

Hi

Not sure of your times but you could stop off at http://www.camping-lecolombier.com with is part of the Castels group http://www.les-castels.com. This site is near Liseaux. It is a lovely site. We will be stopping here on our way down to the Loire Valley.

Cheers

Gill C,

Thanks for the info, could you tell me what the electricity supply is and that has each pitch have its own water supply ?

Thanks spencer.
