The OH and I choose to spend our hard earned money caravanning because we enjoy the places we visit, historic sites beautiful countryside, wonderful walks cycleways shared together with all the comforts of home, well nearly, towed behind us.We still go abroad and enjoy that too, but will always be caravanners at heart. I guess we wouldn't make good TV because, in their eyes, to ordinary, but I suspect we are in a large majority and long may it continue

I do agree with you. We still have one trip booked to meet our daughter her husband and our grandchildren when they go away for half term. They stay in a lodge because that is what they like and we are taking the caravan. After that we are off to Chester Fairoaks as my wife wants to do some serious Christmas shopping. Nothing to excite the TV cameras and no one else in the family now caravans but it is right for us so that is all that matters. After that we will see what the weather brings. Any further trips will be booked last minute. once we know the weather.

My own past is a closely guarded dark secret RJS B)
We're in tip top health and are looking forward to a short Autumn break with our caravan at Unity Farm in Brean next week.
The site is well run although not exactly picturesque but with our OAP bus passes and a bust stop outside the main gate I'm sure that even though we're caravanners we'll blend in with the other bus passengers ok.

It's OAP fortnight from Monday, although we're only staying for five days.
