how to replace window stay locking Knob

OK, so i have a few locking knobs on my windows that need to reolace. I have removede the two srews at the top so the window stay is loose from the window, but i can.t see how to remove the sleeve that holds the locking knob, there seems to be a a pin that holds it on but how do you get it out.
Thanks for any advise

Your photo shows the same type that I have on my caravan(1993. Abbey). The struts are made by polyplastic..The method I used on the frame end (looks like an inverted J) was to remove the roll pin ..a spring pin that's has a slot in it so as to all it to compress on assembly)..I tapped it out using a panel pin gently..it goes back in easily..the other photo that showing the black 4 sided knob has 3 parts to it 1 the body.2.The 4 sided knob with a short screw thread..3 a harden plastic insert, this is placed between the end of the thread screw and the internal round aluminium tube.. it's probably there to stop the steel thread from damaging the softer ali bar..I found once I'd jiggled the strut it came apart ok..next prob removal if need be of plastic insert.
If it's not fallen out..try the panel pin to push it all the way in.. careful not to lose it. The other make is Elba pretty similar but use Ali bar rather than Ali tube..
Hope all goes well.Gary
