'55 plate Saab 9-3 sportwagon 1.9 diesel /w hirsch remap weighing in at 1550Kg unladen (well, with a driver and nothing else). Get about 60mpg on a motorway run.

I loaded it up with a family, a stack of luggage, and stuck a 2005 Bailey Pageant Provence on the back of it, and I just about eeked 29mpg out of it.

2.0 insignia 160 mpg are, towing 30, solo motorway 50 .52 general driving, town, country roads plus a little motorway round about 38 mpg.

I cant offer towing MPG but very impressed with the Honda CR-v 2.2 2013 when solo. I measure on fuelly.com and currently get 49 mpg on average. I will be very intersted how towing will affect this.

New update on our status, we have changed the car to a Vauxhall Zafira Tourer and the caravan to a Swift Challenger Corniche max weight 1473kg. Car solo on a run will give us 55 mpg and towing we have managed 30mpg, happy days

Last trip Mazda 6 did comfortably over 30 mpg probably about 33 towing Quasar 564. It will do up to 60 solo on motorway and just over 40 on mixed driving. Like everything else though it depends how you drive it.

21.4 MPG from the first half of my first tank full in the Saab 😛

I imagine once I stop playing it will increase somewhat, be interesting to see what I get when I'm towing!

1st weekend away with the Saab and the towing parts there and back returned 24.1 MPG there and 22.9 MPG back.

Certainly happy with that!
