Hymer club

hello,I still would like to start a hymer club or a german caravan club, for rallies etc should be good, anyone interested, I will get back to any replys.

Hi Malcolm,

My wife and I have owned a Hymer Nover 465 since last July and as we have had caravan's for the last 30 years at last have found a van that does exactly what it say's on the tin!!

We were wondering what success has been had regarding the formation of a Hymer Caravan Owners Club? We travel for 6 months of each year and have over the last 8 years covered a large chunk of Europe, but still have a lot more to do!! we have a wealth of information to give but are still learning from others of like minds.

Look forward to any contribution you may have!!

Alan

Hi Alan,

I am keen to buy a Hymer Nova 580 caravan, which has End Bathroom, Twin Fixed Beds, Kitchen and End Dining/Lounge Area. Unfortunately, I cannot buy this particular layout in England an dmay have to buy direct from Germany. Therefore, I would greatly appreciate conversing with someone who can advise of such a daring venture.

Roger,

I have the same layout in the (Lord Munsterland Caravan) LMC munsterland 520 HTE, I bought it new from continental caravans Cross Hands S/Wales, it comes with english sockets oven etc. saves all the trouble of warranties with German companies and the so called grey imports, continental were quite happy for me to have my local dealer service it for me without any warranty problems.

Hi Malcolm

Have just picked up this thread, I am a Hymer Nova 530tb owner not much into rallies these days but would be interested in meeting up with other Hymer caravan owners. I am waiting for my replacement van (May),having owned my current one from the introduction into the country by Lowdham's. Obviously as I am opting for the same again I have found it to be a good'un.

I look forward to the possibility.

We're getting our first Hymer 530FB, have waited long time, working our way up the ladder so to speak to get it, would love to meet up with other people with the same type van, always learn lots and meet nice people, please keep us infomred.

I have a Hymer 470 and wouldn't mind sharing experiences, unfortunately rallies are usually out for people like us with esoteric tastes. My 2006 model has the door on the English side so the layout is somewhat different, however after having had so many english leaky vans, it's quite a change to have one that I know will not leak. The only thing I would say is that after a hot day, the van creaks a bit at night when it shrinks, but being a light sleeper doesn't help.

Cheers to you all, Peter..

Hi, I edit the Dethleffs Owners Club website.

We would be interested in joining together with other German makes for a rally at some time next year.

Any ideas?

Hi Malcolm and Richard

We have a German Fendt and if the weekend did not clash with a show we would like to join a Rally.

It is so long since we actually went away with the caravan for socialising that I would look forward to that.

We have organised rallies ourself in the past so we would be willing to help. Joyce

We are willing to travel miles to meet up with other Hymer, german van owners, we really are so very very happy with the van and how it makes us feel, we keep finding surprises on the built and quality of the van, so would love to meet other like minded people, have rallied with groups before, and are friendly people.
