I had a Trajet in the past, although i never towed as i thought it was not powerful enough
 
Hi Gareth,
I had a 2004 Diesel. It was a heavy (almost 2 tons) car and very stable when towing. However, it only had 111bhp and 184lb torque so wasn't that powerful. It would manage 60-65mph ok but that was foot to the floor towing a 1300kg Avondale Dart 556-6.
The fuel consumption wasn't great. Driving solo I never got more that 34mpg. Towing was low 20's
As a car for transporting the kids and occasional towing it was fine but I found it too slow and thirsty for my solo work commute everyday..
