idm3alarm system

hi wonder if any off you can help i have fitted a new battery to my alarm and i can press the buttons on the keypad and get the beeps that tell me the state of the battery and if the pir is wworking (it is) the only thing i cant get to work is changing the 4 number security number i have tried 1234 but it does not work any ideas pls harry

My instructions state, To change personal code - Press NEW key, then press 1, now enter the old code, now enter your new code and confirm by pressing the NEW key. If the alarm battery has been flat for some time before you replaced it then entering 1,2,3,4 may be accepted in place of the old code. This is what happened to mine as when I bought the van I had no code and the battery was knackered, I replaced it and all was well. I have a copy of the user instructions if required although they are for an earlier model IDM but I am led to believe they are the same instructions.

hi terry thanks for that info i do not have a new button on my key pad only f and c plus nos 1 to 9 i do not have the code only know it is 1234 from new ta harry

From the IDM3 instructions:

Clearing the System back to Manufacturers Settings

If for any reason you wish to set the IDM back to its factory settings then the following procedure should be used:

1. Press "F", keep finger on the "F" key until 5 bursts are heard from the keypad buzzer. The IDM has now reverted to factory settings.

This can only be done when the system is disarmed

Hope this helps

Mike
