I'm Back! (again)

As our club rally was postponed due to snow, Herself and I and Two friends sneaked off to a local site for the weekend. Very pleasant, snow on the hills,vans on hardstands,good food and some amber liquid! But it's good to be back.
 
I worked for 45 years to get here! There are times when it all seemed worth it too!It really is magic to be able to look out the window in the morning,and if the sun's shining, just hitch up and go.We don't normally go far (last weekend was only 20 miles from home) but its called FREEDOM!We're looking forward to our 5 weeks in the summer too.....
 
Why don't you just rub it in Emmerson? We both work, and it's usually a case of if I'm not working at the weekend, the wife is doing something, and if she is free, I'm usually working. Looking for sympathy here, am I getting any?
 
To quote Emmerson - it is a great life just look out and if weather is good or good weather forecasted - hey ho off we jolly well go. Can't fault it. Anybody working and looking for sympathy - tough. When we are out enjoying ourselves we wont even be thinking of this forum.

Got it in one mate - someone has to pay the tax, national insurance, etc. to cover our pension, health, etc. We are now in an enviable position to come and go as we please.

Emmerson my wife and I are coming to the end of our first year of early retirement - mind you we are quick learners. If anybody requires a reference for retirement I will give a glowing reference as I can wholly recommend it.

Incidently I am sitting here typing whilst smoking a cigar and drinking a fine malt whiskey. Life is GREAT

colin, me too, but without the cigar! Mine's a Bladnoch whisky...Can't afford this all the time,we normally drink blendeds but we keep a special bottle just in case........

Horlicks and Viagra surely contradict one and another - the Viagra is a form of tonic whilst Horlicks tends to make you sleepy. How do you justify such a cocktail. As far as whiskey is concerned I am at present on the blended rubbish - can't get hold of a bottle of nectre in Bridgend - Irish single malt Glen Maranghy (pardon spelling. The nearest place I know where it is sold is an off licence in Sketty in Swansea. Damn good stuff though.

Sorry I have my Irish and Scottish whiskies mixed - should have read Connamara Irish Whiskey which I can only get in Swansea. Again pardon spelling as I am not up on Gaelic words or places.
