I'm Thinking of Changing My Jockey Wheel

I have read reports in this Forum re the benefit of changing a solid jockey wheel for the inflatable type, if you have a caravan mover fitted. Can I ask "those in the know" ....is this hard to do and are there any special requirements in taking the old one off and replacing it? Many thanks for any helpful advise. Pete

Just changed to pnuematic type of wheel, much easier for the mover to get our twinaxle up the gravel drive at home. Also left/right turns far smoother.Make sure you get the right size e.g. heavy duty for heavy van.Pleased with ours from Alko.

Due to he large size of the inflatable jockey wheel it probable will not fit your existing fork, so a complete assembly should be purchased and fitted by simply undoing the clamp bolt changing the assembly and refitting the bolt, about a couple of minutes at the most. make sure you buy one with the same diameter shaft as there are different sized ones around used on various trailers
