They are, and although some aspects will be common Lexus are not just a rebadged Toyota. The one I was referring to in my post was a model initially introduced by Toyota in to Japan then marketed worldwide as a Lexus. But irrespective, of its DNA it’s given 25 years of impeccable service and still looks good. The owner hasn’t fared so well. 😱
We bought ours second hand for reliability and comfort plus it has a full warranty until 2031 provided it is serviced annually by Lexus.

I feel a bit miffed not only are RAV4 high on the list of stolen cars, above the Evoque, but Dustys latest “ grenade” shows hybrids are more likely to be a fire risk than EV or ICE. No wonder I don’t sleep at nights, but at least no worries about a caravan having damp, or cracked panels . 🙈

Actually the figures are bit skewed as more Evoque are probably sold than RAV4. Also I believe those post 2021 RAVs where there was an issue. We had a tracker and the CAN Bus blocker fitted so sleep easy at night.

Just shows you can’t trust the stats without full visibility of the scope of the data. But with three Evoques and two RR on our estate I can now sleep easy ( fire extinguisher at the ready) 🧯

3000 litre

Wow, that’s massive. 🤔 (sorry)

John
It’s only big over here, the 3.0ltr Lexus is only around 200bhp, nothing exceptional at all, modern 2.0 litre cars are more than that on average. I rented a 5.3 lite, 355 BHP , GMC Yukon last year, that’s big, but even then only entry level…….It was lovely though! 😁. Queen Greta would love it.

So your “tongue in cheek” post is very apt! 👍
