Hi, we are using the van over the Christmas period and would like to know if the insulated bags for the fresh water are any good. I am looking at ones with the built in part that goes around the feed pipe to the van?

Might be better to use an unattached hose jacket - for when you need to top the aquaroll up or fill it completely - alternatively use an old anorak, insulated sort and feed the hose up the sleeve!

at Ossett, West Yorks*. They not only make all sorts of bags and insulation, they also make bespoke to order and they are not expensive. We have one of their Aquaroll insulation bags (which includes a base and pipe covers) and it is well made and above all works.

*For the locals, turn west towards Dewsbury off M1 at J40, then take first exit left towards Ossett. The road dips down, then a length of flat, and their place is on the left just at the end of a terrace of houses as the road starts to rise again.

If possible put something insulating between the ground and the aquaroll: e.g. wood, camping mat.

or put a 25w aquarium heater in the aqua roll stops it all frezzing and set at it lowest setting it dont make the water warm..run a extension lead under caravan or fit a electric plug to outside of caravan using a waterproof socket with inside seperate switch so u can switch off during the day.. use watering can to fill up aqua roll as well or if on serviced pitch use a hose pipe, auto fill valve if u wanted or there longer
