Can anyone tell me the website that can verify if a vehicle is insured or not?

Hi Allen,

I stand to be corrected but I don't think there is such a site in existence.

Certain agencies such as Police or Motor insurance Bureau can access such information centrally, but I don't think individual insurance companies would even have automatic access to competitors customer details, unless there were fraud or default issues.

There would be massive data protection issues involved if open access was given to a website containing all of our vehicle insurance details.

I stand corrected - Just seen another reply to your query in chit chat and there is such a site which will give you a "Yes" or "No" only, as to whether a vehicle is currently registered on their database.

Ive just changed my car and I wanted to make sure that it was logged on the database,so that I do not have to carry paperwork in the car.

WWW.askmid.com is very useful.
