Insurance in Europe

Have any members tried to cover there car To be used primarily in France. I have retired and have time to travel through Europe.

I know you can get cover from the UK to travel overseas for a total of 90 days. That will not be enough for the touring I have in mind.

Any help would be appreciated

I don't know what the position is in France, but I was able to insure my UK registered car for an indefinite period in Germany, so it should also be possible in France.

Both Saga (with whom I insure) and the NFU give 365 days per year European cover as standard on their comprehensive car policies.

Paul. I have insured my wifes car with SAGA, very good rate, far better than quoted by the AA,
