I follow Rotherham Police on Twitter for the local crime news... yawn... Yeah I know lol

However this morning they twittered ;-) about registering your personal belongings on a website called Immobilise.com. It's a website that Police forces are affiliated with so would appear to be genuine. The idea is you register your belongings and should you be unfortunate enough to have them stolen or lost then it helps to have them returned if they are ever recovered.

While browsing the site there was a link to Immobivan http://www.immobivan.com/ For £39.99 you register and they send you 5 radio frequency devices that are fitted to the caravan by the owner with the unique identification codes recorded on Immobilise. Seems well worth the small outlay in my opinion.

Here is a link to how it works.

Bye 4 now

Our dogs got one of those

and I used to fit them to lawnmowers. Only problem that I can see is, if the police find your stolen caravan and a traveller is living in it, you still will not get it back.

Quite right, I did forget to mention you might get your van back if some scumbag hasn't paid 2 carrots and a dead chicken to his mate who nicked it to order isn't claiming political assylum in it... But still worth the minimal outlay i feel

All comments almost tongue in cheek lol

You may not get it back, but if it is insured at least you will be compensated!

Perhaps I would not want it back under those circumstances
