Happy New Year to all our readers.

Now that we are in to a new year I've had a serious talk with myself and I do believe I've turned in to a grumpy old man.

I'm grumpy at the news, I'm grumpy at the TV programmes, I'm grumpy at the government, the bankers and other drivers.....In fact the list goes on and on.

Is it me I wonder??

Same for me. When those City slickers robbed the pension pots they didn't think about us poor mortals.

Never mind I sense at last Gordie may ban their bonuses once and for all. Well a million pounds bonus is slightly excessive.

Cheers

Well, I managed to get out with my pension intact nine years ago when I was 54 and have been enjoying every minute since and with incrememts every year until now - the company went bust in last january (bet you cant guess who) but the pension scheme is now at the mercy of the pension protection fund, which hopefully will maintain it at its present level but no more increments i'm afraid. Howver the wife gets her inflation proof local government pension in Feb and I've only got another two years to go before I get my state pension so life is pretty good at the moment and so are the prospects unless Brown & co try to screw it down a bit more with silly tax rises or a bit more pension scheme robbing (our scheme is only in the PPF fund because of the loss of income from Brown's tax rises and inept control of the banking sector)

So we are looking forward to another year of fun and frolicks in our shiny new Bailey Champage - already used it over Christmas and the next trip is a couple of weeks away.

Have fun and a happy new year whatever you are doing

Happy New Year to all. No your not a grumpy old man. Just a realist. I to have have my concerns with MPs Government ripping us off 10Bn just last year in exspenses. Bankers who think the rules don,t concern them. Our own Gorden Brown giving our money away at a drop of a hat does he still not get it this island is bankrupt no money in the pot every thing is on the tick/ HP. We have got to start paying some of this money back but I do not see any body giving us FREE HAND OUTs out there do you?????????

Snowing like mad here and has been since last night on and off, still no sign of the gritters, looks like Aast Cheshire Borough run out of funds yet again.

l am lucky have 4x4 which l have to pay through the nose for thanks to Gordon and his tree huging cronies.

Still l got back home even though we live in the sticks, worth every penny of 400 quid road tax and the 20k l paid for the car.

By the way l am not banker just worked hard over the years and saved for for our retirement goodies

Hi Nigel

Glad you got home safe and sound. We two have retired and had saved and worked hard over the years for retirment day. Purchased a Brand new Bailey Ranger 460/4 in 2007 first new caravan after 20 years of caravaning plus a 2005 Land rover Freelander Auto TD4. It was GREAT and we had some great times caravaning all over. But after two years as i have listed on here our dream fell apart the new van got damp BIG time on the second service and as we listed sold it back to dealer. The 4x4 was great but servicing was
