Is my charger working properly.

Battery was flat in Feb and was told charger was faulty. Replaced charger like for like and just recently the battery.
Noticed on recent trip that charger was warm to touch and noisy like a fan was going all the time. Old charger was quieter. I am worried charger is faulty and potentially overcharging new battery?

Hello Rowey,

Welcome to the forum.

If you can measure the voltage at the battery when the charger is running, if it's more than 13.8V then the charger may be faulty again.

You don't tell us the make or model of charger you have.

When a charger is working, it will get warm, and some designs do have a fan to help them cool. But whether yours is running too much is very difficult for us to tell without being able to see or run a few checks.
