Isabella awning with plastic strip. What is it????

Hi
Silly question time please...
I recently bought an Isabella Ambassador Moonlight which I 've used once and am absolutely delighted with.
Quick question, it came with a white plastic strip that is about 2 foot long which appears to be able to connect two items together. Those items, I have no idea what they are.
I previously had a Pyramid awning that I could attach a wind break too directly but a similar connector was built into the wind break.
Has anyone got a clue either a) what i'm on about or b) what this strip is for?
Thanks for any help!!

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing but I have a similar plastic strip and it slides on to the top edge of the part of the awning that closes the gap under the caravan, where the wheel is the plastic strip is then slid so as to be in line with the caravans wheel and another short length is then added to the top of the strip and held up by some means, mine has a couple of suckers which stick to the side of the van and this then covers the gap where the wheel is completely cutting down draughts and means you don't see the wheel at all, I'm sure there must be a name for the part that go's along the bottom rail but I have no idea what it might be, not the best explanation you will probably get but hopefully you understand what I'm talking about.

Does it look like this figure of 8 channel ?

That's the one Sproket!
BP was right as I managed to find a bit about it on line. I see it goes across the wheel to keep the draft skirt up but now I don't know how to cover the top part of the wheel and wheel box that is still exposed. I can't see any suction pads etc in the bag and I thought Isabellas had everything!!
Not knocking the awning as it's brilliant!!
Thanks!
