It had to happen!

Hello all - Well it's finally happened, a caravan has been bought. After 35 years of touring Europe using Hotels, Inns, Auberges, Apartments, Static Vans & Tents, we bought our first caravan late last year. It's a long in the tooth Bailey Senator which appeared to have been well looked after. Once we got it home, it was quickly dispatched to a local farm for storage. Through various domestic issues, we never paid it any attention until recently. A few days ago, it got a service which confirmed our view that it was generally in pretty good shape. Just had the gas regulator changed to a new modern one and the Eng recommended the tyres were changed as they were 7 years old, (this is booked in for next week).
We'll be off on our inaugural trip in just 4 weeks. Van is now at home for us to get to grips with.
So far, our questions have already been covered on the forum, but I expect to post for clarification on some matters in due course.
Glad to be here.
Dave

Welcome to the forum Dave, lets hope your first trip out goes well, As with a lot of us, getting back into our tin tents is a bonus, but at times you forget how things work. So ask away, no question is daft.
Enjoy your van.

Welcome to the forum Dave, and congratulations on buying your caravan.
Many forum members have owned a Bailey so any questions that crop up are sure to receive good answers.
Enjoy!
