Italy and back

Hi all, which way is the easiest to travel, is Switzerland as expensive as they say to use the roads. Any suggestions will be most welcome, visiting places such as Venice, Rome, Pisaand Forenza and possibly Lake Como on our return journey. Bazz.

Hi Baz.

We used to go via Belgium/Germany and the various ways from there but we began to find that every lorry driver from all over (and his aunty) went that way, and some of the holdups were monumental. We have concluded that using the French M/ways or if you are not in a hurry the Route Nationals is a lot less agro.

We were in Rome earlier this year stopping at Lake Garda on the way home then into Austria, Germany, Belguim back to Ostend. You have to buy a ticket for Austria if you use m/ways but from Garda you can get to Germany without any tolls.
