When we were looking at places to buy we chose where we are. Looking at the population it said 7000. New house going up all the time and our quite road outside is sounding like the M25, or at least it was. Today woke up and thought it was weird , no noise and sitting in the garden with the sunshine is peaceful. Alas want the noise back!.
 
The world does seem to have gone silent all of a sudden. We live near the M74 and are missing the constant hum. At the local station you usually have cars parked half a mile along the main road and now the car park has only about a dozen cars.
 
Just wait until we are allowed out in our caravans again, the sites will be full and we will possibly not get pitches, then the prices will go up to pay for the previous months of no use.
Sorry, not had my second coffee of the day. SWMBO is rationing me.

Same here and hardly an aircraft in the sky which feel strange as we are en route to Cardif, Bristol, Brize Norton and the various east-west transits too. My apps show me nothing although two days ago a USAAF Globemaster C3 flew over at 35000ft en route to Germany.

We've been looking at perfect blue sky,, saw one con trail yesterday. You don't notice until it's not there and that's the low level noise, aircraft, traffic and factory, that is with all the time. so so quite. Another thing I'm loosing track of time, put the clocks back last night (Friday) 😡 👍
