Hi Brent,

Hi Brent,

Been towing with S-type auto 3 litre since January ( previously used a LWB Pajero ) and I love it.

The towball is 3 inches lower than the Pajero but the van is just off the horizontal. The mudflaps do ground on some speed bumps with the van on, but the suspension isn't too soft. It's just a lower slung car.

Power isn't a problem, stability isn't a problem although it is understandably less stable than the Pajero as the speed increases, due to the lower kerbweight.

To me, there is no difference in the fuel economy, as the Pajero was thirsty too, about 20 - 25 mpg.

Hope this helps and if you have any specific questions, just shout, Cheers,

Alex.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the info... I've now towed my rig and all was fine. Are you aware of spring assistors, and do they work?
